Transformational nurse executive, educator, and thought leader whose work bridges strategy, equity, and human-centered care.
In his 29th year at KP, Dr. Rayne Soriano leads enterprise-wide initiatives that advance clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, and innovation—anchored in Caring Science and Quantum Caring Leadership.
Dr. Soriano proudly led the launch of the KP Caritas Coach Education Program (CCEP)—the first program of its kind embedded within a major U.S. health system—bringing Caring Science to life through nurse-led healing environments, leadership development, and system-wide culture transformation.
He is also leading the system-wide implementation of Quantum Caring Leadership (QCL), an emerging leadership framework that aligns operational excellence with compassion, equity, and human flourishing.
He supported the rollout of one of the largest civilian electronic health records across 21 hospitals, serves as President of AONL Hawai‘i, and is a DAISY Faculty Awardee, a Fellow of the Academy of Diversity Leaders in Nursing (FADLN), and a Board Ambassador for the Watson Caring Science Institute.
A proud nurse and lifelong mentor, Dr. Soriano’s leadership spans inclusive disaster response, global health collaborations, and developing future nurse leaders grounded in purpose, compassion, and cultural humility.
